Any good designs for a golf ball catapult?

My physics class is dividing into two teams, and each team is building a catapult. Once we complete our projects, we are going to have a class competition to see which one throws the golf ball further. I’ve been researching different catapult designs…just wanted to know if anybody had a good design that my group might study as we build our own.

      Not exactly a how-to, but here’s a link to a small catapult that threw golf balls 620 feet, built by a high-schooler in Seattle. Lots of photos to show how it went together.
