Can a golf ball become water logged like a baseball? If a ball sits at the bottom of a golf coarse pond or if it is wet too long could it become water logged that way?

      Yes, it can. Studies have been made that show there is a slight performance difference in water logged balls vs new. Some react worse than others to the water.

      Safe bet to save some money would be to buy last years ball, new in bulk on Ebay.

      The cover is cut water will not soak into the dimples and changes the hardness of the ball.
