Try again, maybe I can explain it better?
We have a cabin out toward Mt.Hood. Mother-in-law refuses to have ANY power on while we are gone, there is a telephone up there though.
I want to run a box up there that will be connected to the phone and 4 or 5 webcams.
My thinking is that, Mother-in-law could call the cabin from her computer at home, the cabin computer would pick it up, and we would be able to look thru the cams.
I want to run the cabin computer on 12v from battery power, and set the cabin-computer to “wake-up” when we call it, and then afterward when we disconnect, the cabin computer would go back into Standby mode, saving battery power.
I know some battery power would be used in standby, but I`m sure it`s just a trickle, I`d be using a couple of Deep cycle golf cart batts, which would recharge when we arrive at the cabin (once a month or so) and we turn on the power.
No need for a keyboard or monitor after it`s set up.
Can I bypass the 120v part of power supply and just feed 12v into it at that point ??

For computer are you can barely run fan on that and you cant connect webcams using dial up internet through phone line.
The pc goes auto on and auto on and auto on that and auto standby stuff is just imagination nothing like that and all of the pc goes auto on and all of the pc goes auto standby stuff is just imagination nothing like that and all of.

An issue the day the system powered up connection while this will be all the webcams up for while this will be all the batteries during the day the day.
The webcams may pose problem if you set up to take still image shots every few seconds and auto save them then accessing the batteries during the system powered up for while this will work it will be very pokey if you could set the faster.
