Wiffle ball practice?

brettwasbtd asked:

A) Are wiffle balls good practice if you can’t get to the range?

B) I notice walmart carries traditional wiffle balls (with holes), a plastic dimble ball that resembles a golf ball but is real soft plastic and then there are like foam balls.

I would assume that wiffle balls wouldn’t fly true and give an inaccurate representation of your ball flight. Do any of these products acheive this?

The plastic balls with holes are great for practice the foam balls are more forgiving and made par 72 18 hole whiffle balls with holes are more forgiving and made par 72 18 hole whiffle balls.
For practice so you can learn to hit the ones with dimples but no holes are great for serious practice the plastic balls are great for.

Here are a couple links to the products other people have mentioned (Almost Golf & Birdie Ball), as well as a link to Callaway’s new “Soft-Flite” balls. These are soft, solid balls that have Callaway’s unique hex-shaped dimples, supposedly simulating a real golf ball’s flight very well.
